Love Cycle Telugu Film Review
Film Name:Love Cycle
Cast: Sree, Reshma, Jhansi, Shankar Melkote, Sri Latha, Praveen
Direction: Sapan Kumar
Genre: Comedy
Duration: 2 hours 8 minutes
Story: Gautham (Sree), an ad filmmaker needs to win a bet to get to direct a prestigious ad film. The bet is to get an absolute stranger - Sharanya (Reshma) - to fall in love with him in 30 days. It turns out Sharanya has a bet to win as well - to get a guy to fall in and out of love with her under a month.
Movie Review: Low budget romantic comedies in Tollywood have some of the most logic defying premises. This movie we have the pair who have two different points to prove about love i.e. The guy thinks every girl in the planet will eventually have to succumb to a man's wiles while the girl feels getting rid of boyfriends is child's play.
Here are the character sketches. Sree is a playboy ad-filmmaker who boasts about being authority on female psychology because were lead to believe, he's always had his way with them. He has to fend off competition from an equally competent female colleague to bag the chance to make a prestigious ad campaign. So he throws a challenge to prove his prowess - that of getting any woman fall head over heels in love with him in less than a month. His colleague points at Sharanya who has a point to prove to her boss as well - to prove that it's no big deal to get dump boyfriends.
Thus the two begin serenading each other. What ensues can best b e described as sheer tom foolery. Sree and Reshma have neither the talent nor the charisma needed to carry off roles like these, and the two end up looking very silly. We'll not get into the filmmaking part because there isn't any.
The filmmakers it seems were just counting on the suggestive to do the trick, but they don't. What we have is a horrendously below par product.
Note: Save yourself the trauma.
